Camp Rangi Woods - Totara Reserve
Camp Rangi Woods
Situated in the Totara Reserve regional park, locally known as “The jewel of the Manawatu”. The area is of exceptional beauty and Camp Rangi Woods runs parallel to the Pohangina River 35 minutes from Palmerston North and Feilding.
Once a scouting venue, founded by the YMCA by the late Charles "Rangi" Woods whom the camp is named after, it has over the years been developed to accommodate the wider community. In 2004 after the devastating floods Camp Rangi Woods was totally refurbished and upgraded.
When you hire Camp, you are very private and surrounded with native bush. The Venue is used for numerous occasions including Weddings, schools, reunions, conferences, Churches, Motorcycles and car groups to name a few.
Being in the Totara Reserve you are surrounded by beautiful bush walks and you can even walk up to see the gloworms at night.
When you book Camp Rangi Woods you know you are the only group that will be there. You hire the whole complex.
Particularly during the Summer months Camp Rangi Woods is a very popular wedding venue. Get married beside the Pohangina River, inside the bush at the Bush Chapel or gather on the lawn and be surrounded by the towering totara trees and native bush.
Camp Rangi Woods is self catering so you get to choose to do it yourself or select from a wide range of caterers and price in the Manawatu area.
